‘I Am Honouring My Dad’s Reminiscence With Free Boarding College’


Portia Putatunda left a profession in Mumbai and moved to Komic village in Spiti to start out a free boarding faculty underneath Planet Spiti Basis that gives meals, shelter, schooling, and clothes to underprivileged kids.

Portia Putatunda, a profitable journalist in Mumbai, discovered her life taking an surprising flip when tragedy struck. The lack of her solely mum or dad, her father, left her in deep grief.

In 2022, she launched into a brand new chapter in Komic — the best village in India — by establishing a free boarding faculty for underprivileged youngsters. Beginning with simply three kids, the college has since grown to accommodate 10.

Portia, lovingly often known as a ‘mom’ to those kids, attributes her best inspiration and motivation to her late father.
